Anna Mtaita

Anna is the Head of Finance and Administration and joined AGCOT Centre (formerly SAGCOT Centre) in September 2016. She provides strategic leadership across all financial, administrative, and operational functions, ensuring alignment with AGCOT’s mission and strategic objectives.

Anna is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in finance and audit across international audit firms, the banking sector, and government institutions. She has deep expertise in financial systems, regulatory compliance, donor-funded project management, and organizational governance. Over time, she has also developed valuable skills in human resource management and information technology. Anna manages key Human Resource functions and leads Information Technology operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, strengthening staff performance, and improving organizational efficiency through effective systems and processes.

Before joining the AGCOT Centre, Anna served as the Director of Finance and Administration at the National Economic Empowerment Council (NEEC) under the Prime Minister’s Office.

She holds an MSc in Finance from the University of Strathclyde (UK), is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA(T)), and has over 25 years of post-qualification experience. She also holds an Advanced Diploma in Accountancy from the Institute of Finance Management (IFM), Tanzania.
